2009 Scholarship Winners

Stephanie Bentley is a 2009 Graduate of Vanguard High School where she is in the IB program. Her GPA is 4.0 and she scored 1850 on the SAT.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, VHS Marching Band, Ecology and Chemistry Clubs. Her areas of volunteer work have been at the VFW Nursing Home and at Munroe Regional Medical Center.  She enters FSU Fall semester.  Her planned major is Biological Sciences. “Winner of Jim Kirk Family Scholarship”

Amber Tompkins is a 2009 Graduate of Forest High School where she has a 3.27 GPA and scored a 1420 on the SAT and 21 on the ACT. Her activities include cheer leading her freshman and sophomore years.  She is involved with the Forest Anchor Club and Future Business Leaders of America on a state and national level. Her junior year, she helped to charter the ATLAS club which is Alliance to Lead and Serve.  This year she serves as the Vice President.  She enters FSU the Summer C semester.  Her intention is to major in International Business, minor in Political Science or Economics and get her MBA.

Kaitlin Wallace is a 2009 Graduate of Forest High School where she has a 4.0 GPA and scored a 1350, and a 2070 with writing on the SAT and 32 on the ACT.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Junior Classical League, the Cross Country and Track Teams and Soccer Team.  She has volunteered as an elementary school teaching assistant and tutors at Forest High and is involved with church activities.  She enters FSU this fall and will major in Accounting.  Her parents also attended FSU.

Larissa Iapicca is a 2009 graduate of St. Francis Catholic High School where she has a 3.66 G.P.A and scored 1150 on the SAT and a 24 on the ACT.  Her activities include cheerleading and soccer and student government.  She is a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.  Her area of volunteer work has been at Shands Hospital in the Emergency Room, Oncology and Radiology areas.  She is currently employed at Blue Highway Pizzaria.  She enters FSU in the Fall and plans to major in Nursing.
